We deliver different sorts of wood based solid biofuels, such as wood chips, hog, logs, split wood, briquettes and pellets. Raw materials originate from forestry (forest residues and lower value round wood); from mechanical wood processing (by products such as bark, wood chips or saw dust); or from woody energy crops that are cultivated on deserted fields, swamps or other low value land areas that are not productive in normal agriculture. We supply most of the bulky fuels by vessels to the ports of the Baltic Sea region and by truck from port terminals and closer sources directly to the power plants. Because we procure and process the fuel, we have the prerequisites to closely control the quality and manage the risk of variation in the energy content of the material. With fuels like wood chips, bark or energy wood logs we add value by managing the price risk of the fuel by primarily concealing the deals based on the energy content (€/MWh). The quality of the fuel is defined either according to the standards of FINBIO or CEN/TS 14774, CEN/TS 14775, CEN/TS 14918, CEN/TS 15289, CEN/TS 15104.
